Founded in 1953, Holiday Rambler is one of the oldest and most respected names in the RV industry. It’s also the broadest-based division of Monaco Coach Corporation, manufacturing travel trailers, fifth-wheel towables and Class-A motorhomes.
Holiday Rambler initially established its reputation through affordable travel trailers which brought a new level of quality and engineering to the industry.
In 1961, Holiday Rambler’s introduction of aluminum body framing ushered in a new era of lighter, stronger and more durable RVs. Through continuous refinement and evolution, this Alumaframe design has remained the industry’s state-of-the-art superstructure for nearly 40 years.
Holiday Rambler also pioneered many other features now taken for granted in the towable market. It was the first to offer a built-in refrigerator...the first to incorporate holding tanks...and the first to build a travel trailer with aerodynamic radius corners.
As Holiday Rambler expanded into motorhomes and highline towables, so did its reputation for innovation. Holiday Rambler motorhomes were the first with tag axles, and the company’s kitchen slide-out revolutionized “interior engineering” in the field.
Acquired by Monaco Coach Corporation in 1996 from Harley Davidson, Holiday Rambler gave the Monaco a strong presence in the towable market and dramatically expanded the corporation’s motorhome lineup – where its diesel motorhomes were a perfect compliment to Monaco’s highline models.
As an important Monaco Coach Corporation brand, Holiday Rambler is an integral part of the company’s “stepping stone” approach to motorhome ownership. |
