In the spirit of that, we’re highlighting a few exceptional people across our Lazydays RV dealerships. Our first spotlight is on Crown Club delivery technician Mark Smith!
Mark is an RVIA and RVDA Master certified RV technician with over 30 years of experience in the RV industry. He has worked at Lazydays for over 15 years, where he is currently a Crown Club delivery technician preparing RVs for delivery to customers across the country.
In addition to his role at Lazydays RV of Tampa, Mark takes his expertise on the road, helping prep Lazydays RV display units at RV shows across the country. Mark says the best part of working as a delivery technician is making people happy when they get their new RV.
As a Lazydays RV expert, Mark knows a thing or two about RV maintenance. We asked Mark what RV owners overlook the most when it comes to RV maintenance, and he replied: batteries. With many owners parking their RVs for long stretches of time during the Winter, RV batteries can die due to inactivity. He stressed that all RV owners should have a yearly maintenance check-up done that looks at the engine, roof, rooftop AC unit, slide rooms, canvases, and jacks.
However, Mark’s best piece of advice for all RV owners, especially those getting ready to hit the road this summer: take care of your maintenance as early as possible. Instead of spending half of your vacation with your RV in the shop, take a weekend to make a list of all your service needs and head to a Lazydays RV service center. Doing this a least a month ahead of your vacation, Mark says, can reduce the likelihood of having problems on the road.
Mark is an avid member of the RV lifestyle. He owns a 1996 Safari Trek, which he has completely remodeled with a new interior including hardwood floors, beautiful cabinetry, and new appliances. Mark and his wife are currently making a list of places to go across the country, including Colorado, California, and the Northwest. They are passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles and take their RV to rallies all over Central Florida.
One of Mark’s favorite things about the RV lifestyle is the incredible community that it fosters, “RV people are super helpful. If you say something is up with your RV, 5 people will pitch in to help.”At Lazydays RV, our goal is to help you find the perfect RV and people like Mark Smith can help with that. When asked why people should come to Lazydays, he said “I think the biggest thing is that Lazydays understands there are lots of different levels to RVing. We can help people find what they’re looking for, even if they don’t know, and take care of them along the way.”
