Enjoy some from the comfort of your motorhome

This is part 2 of the interview with Susie Kellogg of the Kellogg Family RV Show (see part 1 here). They describe themselves as a “family of 14 — 12 kids, 2 parents and a dog. We are a Badass Family!! We snowboard, kayak, whitewater raft, riverboard, climb, cave and so much more! We are staunchly prolife, profamily, prochild and Catholic! We kill it every day …”
What are your plans for the rest of year as far as traveling in your RV?
We will be heading east this month, after a few months touring Colorado and Utah. We will be spending a lot of time kayaking in the Southeast, visiting friends, immersing ourselves in the culture and history of many of the Southern States. By the end of September, we be in Philadelphia to partake in the World Meeting of Families, where we will attend a mass said by the Pope and then our kids will tour Philly, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and consume Philly Cheesesteaks!
Do you have any advice for large families considering fulltime RVing?
Our advice for anyone wanting to start RV’ing fulltime is to just do it. There is an RV for every size family and every size budget. There really is an RV for everyone. Whether you travel with horses or ATV’s, children or in-laws, whatever your interests, wherever you want to explore, there is absolutely no better way than via an RV.
RV’ing is by far the most budget friendly…not to mention the amount of quality time you are able to spend with your family. RV’ing affords you the luxury to take advantage of every moment of the trip. You are the captain and it really is all about the journey!
Fulltime RV’ing changes your perspective of the world. You start focusing on people, rather than money and jobs. You start appreciating the sunsets and the rain, waterfalls and open space. You realize the world is so much greater than you and you develop an earnest desire to protect it.
And the education your children receive from a life on the road is extraordinary. Traveling has transformed our children’s education. They have learned that every day is rife with educational experiences, that everything they do has educational value. They pursue their interests and, most importantly, they have learned how to learn.
I tell you this because when you realize the life you will be trading in for the life you will be gaining as a fulltime RV’er, the decision to make the change is easy. Fulltiming is fun, it’s chock full of quality time and it is the portal to making endless cherished memories. By showing your children a different way of life you are opening their eyes and minds to the endless possibilities that life offers.
Seriously, Just Do It.
