Take I-24 E for around 2 hours and you’ll wind up in Chattanooga. This city is famous for attractions such as Rock City Gardens, Ruby Falls, The Tennessee Aquarium, and the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. It also has a vibrant downtown area with shops, cafes, and artisans.
Memphis, 3 Hours West
Hop on I-40 West for around 3 hours and you’ll soon find yourself in Memphis. This Nashville day trip destination is famous for its own BBQ style and as the home of The King. You can visit Elvis Presley’s former home, Graceland, while in Memphis. Other sights include the National Civil Rights Museum, The Memphis Botanic Garden, and The Children’s Museum of Memphis. Knoxville, 3 Hours East

Historic Diamond Caverns, 1.5 Hours North
Head up I-65 North into Kentucky to see the Historic Diamond Caverns. These stunning caverns are open year-round for guided tours. The one-hour guided tours are perfect for visitors of all ages! Please note that the caverns are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery Visitor Center, 1.5 Hours Southeast
Southeast of Nashville, you’ll find the city of Lynchburg, TN. This city is home to the Jack Daniel’s distillery, where this famous drink is made. There’s a visitor’s center, tours, and artifacts on display. The city of Lynchburg also has parks, a town square, and additional sights that are family-focused.
Stones River National Battlefield, 45 Minutes Southeast
This 570-acre park southeast of Nashville is the site of one of the bloodiest Civil War battles. Now a historic site, the Stones River National Battlefield is an educational destination. It can be visited on foot through several walking trails, and there are also areas that visitors can drive to.
Forest Gully Farms, 1 Hour South
